Love at the Ice Castles- Steamboat Springs

I met Alan and Grace for a late night session at the ice castles in Steamboat Springs.  The different lighting effect and the way the ice reflects the light made for some fun images of the two of them and the beautiful ice scape.

It has been years since the last head shots...time for an update.  20 minutes session with 86 great shots....these are my favorites

Lupita is 4 and Luca is 2.

I know everyone says that time flies and enjoy every minute.  As a family we do spend a LOT of time together, no daycare, just Mommy and Daddy raising the kiddos.  I try to enjoy every minute (which is not always easy) this shoot included.  I am very patient with all of my clients and their little ones, but when it comes to my own it is a little different.  I did this session by myself, all clothing changes, trying to get their thin hair tame, and some sort of smile or look at the camera.  It was a little difficult, but now when I edit the images and look back, it doesn't seem that hard.....Like my Mother says, you won't remember the crazy times, just the good ones and she right.  In fact she is always right, Mothers always are.  :)  I loved every image from the session, so I tried to narrow them down.  

 She is excited to start reading!
